Descrição: Analysis of 1990s conflict situations (drawn primarily from European sociology & concentrating on European conflicts such as NATO & UN peacekeeping missions in the Balkans) observes that wars transform themselves as states & their relations transform themselves; further, globalization has led not to the anticipated global village, but to new types of conflict as tribalism undergoes a recrudescence.
