  • Descrição: Some reflections on the work of Denilson Baniwa, a Brazilian artist of indigenous origin who recently had a work acquired by the Pinacoteca of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, are presented. The occupation of museum spaces, authorship and the art market are issues that oppose the need to maintain traditions and values that make up this indigenous being, with its own intimate and cosmological universe. In this special pandemic moment, when we are rethinking the way we relate to the Earth, his art creates a language that universalizes the broad demands of human beings combining spirituality, activism and above all fruition.
