  • Descrição: Facial action is tehe anatomical basis of minimal visible units. Subjective state is the below-skin but non-localizable erception. To establish a relationship between facial actions and subjevtive states, the facial action of 40 subjects were coded (using Ekman and Friesen1s Facial Action Coding System) while esponding strongly to subjective states (Engelmann's Present Mood States List). Through the image superimposition technique, 280' expressive facial movements (average of 7 per subject) were analyzed and 614 units of action were identified (average of 2.19 per face). Some regular intra-subjects and inter-subjects pattern were observed.
