Descrição: This paper underlines the importance attributed to computer programs and computer graphics in the early experiments of Electronic Literature. Based on the texts reviewed, the influence of the aesthetic theory of Max Bense and of Concrete Poetry has to be reduced. The early anthologies of Concrete Poetry contained a scarce number of texts which belonged to a sub-genre that could be defined as “Computerised Concrete Poetry.” Both Franke (1971) and Bailey (1973) have reported the greater presence of other textual models.
