  • Descrição: In the context of totalism—imperial rule in the biblical world and in today’s market-driven economy—those who are in power attempt to silence the voices calling for justice and fullness of life. Biblical theology gives voice and testimony that breaks the silence of totalism. Biblical theology is practical theology that speaks to what is sustainable in the death-dealing totalism that we face. The biblical witness is not defeated, and totalism has not won, because of the emancipatory nature of God, who cannot be silenced.
