    テーパー部に積分形エネルギー収支式を適用して層流領域におけるテーパー管による圧力差の推算式を得た.テーパー管における乱流と層流の散逸エネルギーの比は直管内流れにおける同様な比の値に等しいと仮定して, 乱流領域におけるテーパー管による圧力差をレイノルズ数およびテーパー角と関係づけた.
    テーパー管による圧力差が0となるレイノルズ数とテーパー管内に剥離を生ずるレイノルズ数をそれぞれ試算し, 実験結果と比較検討した.

    Pressure differences for both laminar and turbulent divergent flow in a tapered tube were studied experimentally.
    Using integral energy balance, an equation of pressure difference for laminar flow was obtained. Assuming that in a tapered tube the ratio of dissipation energy for turbulent flow to that for laminar flow has the same value as the ratio in a straight tube, the pressure difference for turbulent flow was related to Reynolds number and half included angles.
    Reynolds numbers for which pressure difference vanishes and for separation occurrence in a tapered tube were also obtained and these predicted values were compared with experimental results.
