  • Descrição: The main course here is the [Richard Wagner] symphony, the only one he actually completed, though fragments of a Symphony in E have been recorded as well. This work of the young Wagner was directly inspired by the symphonies of Beethoven; indeed, he later stated that the Andante might never have been written without the models of the Beethoven Fifth and Seventh, and it's obvious from hearing the Scherzo that the Seventh was the main inspiration there too.
