  • Descrição: The Escherichia coli trxB gene codes for thioreduxin reductase, and maps close to the htrD gene, which is required for growth at high temperatures. Other closely located genes are the genes of the cyd genes, coding for the cytochrome d complex. Southern hybridization analysis was carried out to determine the relative order of these genes in the 19.3-minute region of the Escherichia coli chromosome. The results showed that the order of the genes is serW, infA, cydD, cydC, htrD and trxB.
