  • Descrição: While the new standards recommend that technology should be available to gifted learners as a tool for learning, no research has been published related to teachers' attitudes toward information technology and the gifted or how programming for these learners has been altered to meet this charge. Data-collection efforts for this document focused on the learning achievement and motivation of gifted students. Through these efforts to gain a better understanding of the attitudes and practices of teachers of the gifted and the effects of using information technology in the teaching/learning process, gifted students are one step closer to realizing the educational goal of being well prepared for the 21st century.
