  • Descrição: A 2-choice speeded identification task involved 2 stimuli associated with 1 response, and a 3rd stimulus associated with the other response. In Exp. I the relative frequency of 1 of the pair of stimuli associated with 1 response was increased progressively. In Exp. II this stimulus was given additional emphasis by presenting a mild noise burst following fast correct responses. Comparisons of response latencies to the 3 stimuli indicated that both perceptual and response biases operate in this situation.
