Descrição: Experimental results are presented on the noise characteristics of diodes with a cathodic static domain in the 12.5-37.5 GHz frequency range. It is shown that diodes of this sort in conditions of developed shock ionization are a broadband source of microwave noise which provides for a high level of spectral noise-power density up to the short-wave part of the microwave range. In addition, these diodes have a higher noise-power level than gas-discharge noise sources in the same frequency range.
