Descrição: The BMGN is the scholarly journal par excellence for studying the Dutch Revolt. This contribution is founded on this general observation and uses quantitative analysis to highlight several developments. It examines the chronological changes in the number of contributions about the Revolt, analysing the language of the contributions and nationality of the authors in the process. Finally, the geographical perspective of the contributions is examined. Based on that analysis, it can be concluded that the scope of new research questions addressing the Revolt clearly broadened around 1990. Several recent NWO Vici projects made for a definitive change in this respect. The question is whether research about the Revolt, as covered in the bmgn, has also become more international, and, especially, what this exactly entails.
