Gorsuch penned one of the most readable volumes on the topic of measurement and factor analysis. He also developed multivariate factor programs under the title UniMult. Professionally, he was recognized as an outstanding scholar, being a fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion. He penned 20 to 30 volumes and over 130 professional articles. He was coauthor of (1985), the foremost text in the area.
