  • Descrição: The article discusses the fate of Slovenes in the Second World War by focusing on a microlocale: Kraljevo and its surroundings. Various authentic sources on refugees in the period 1941-1944 were analyzed with special emphasis on the most tragic event in this region, the mass shooting in October 1941. With the aim of personalising the victims, details about Slovenian refugees and their countrymen -- residents of Kraljevo since the period between the two world wars, and victims of the war crime committed by Wehrmacht units -- are put into wider context. Adapted from the source document.
