  • Descrição: The purpose is to determine the factors which affect the propagation of sci'fic innovations; these are seen as similar to the factors which affect other types of innovations. It is necessary to analyze the variables presented in publications dealing with res in Ru sociol for the last 25 yrs. A level of res in this area is found which was introduced during the 1st yrs of the existence of the Sch. However, only 5% of the Ru sociol'ts published during this period. The innovations that have been greatly utilized have been propagated by personal contacts which assure the expansion of the network. For such a network to exist, it is necessary that there be relations between scholars in the area of res. It seems that the resistance to new ideas has been augmented in relation to the time of their production & the degree of acceptance of innovations has considerably declined during the last decade. The belief in sci corresponds to a process of diffusion of the same type as that of innovations propagated to expand the network of those who adopt them. This process explains that the curve of belief in sci reveals a logistic form. AA Tr by M. Zeitlin.
