  • Descrição: Meeting dietary requirements for amino acids (AAs) is crucial for optimal health and growth. Previous research has shown the advantages of ‘exome matching’ in determining the ideal dietary AA profile from the in silico translation of an organism’s exome. However, purified AAs were used in previous studies. Here, we designed a computational method (ePROB) to formulate customised blends of food proteins to achieve exome matching at the food level. Using feeding experiments in mice, it was demonstrated that the ePROB-formulated blend with best exome-matching characteristics can better support body growth and facilitate the accretion of lean mass of animals under both ad libitum and dietary restriction scenarios.
