  • Descrição: This paper continues our investigations published in Paper I. The tidal interaction of stars with a massive black hole after tidal capture is investigated in the framework of the ellipsoidal ‘affine’ stellar model proposed by Carter & Luminet. We investigate the influence of the orientation of the ellipsoidal stellar model and the influence of the phase and amplitude of the oscillations on the subsequent passages. Finally a parametrization of the probability for a star to lose (or gain) energy during subsequent passages is found for a compressible model.
