  • Descrição: While focusing on their own work (individual work), office workers contribute to the productivity of the entire organization by collaborating and cooperating with others in the same room, on the same floor, or on the same premises. However, it can be said that individual work with interruptions often requires more effort and time than uninterrupted individual work. For this reason, many studies have been conducted to estimate the decline in the state of concentration on individual work and to provide the timing of interruptions to the outside world. On the other hand, few studies have investigated how much such information is actually used as a reference. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between “the timing when one is willing to talk to someone who declares immersion in work” and “the time when one thinks one can concentrate on work” in terms of the degree of intimacy and the time required for collaboration in an office. For this purpose, we first devised an application that allows workers to clearly indicate the time elapsed from the declaration of their own immersion in the work. Then, we conducted an experiment to examine the degree of elapsed time at which workers would be willing to talk to a person who is declaring work immersion, assuming both intimacy and the content of the intervening collaboration.
