  • Descrição: Removal of iron compounds from industrial waste waters by hydroxide precipitation would be most effective if the precipitate could be separated by a reasonable filtration process, and experiments were carried out on the effect of various factors on filtration of ferric hydroxide. Optimal conditions for filtration were found to be a pH value of 6.6, a high iron concentration, and the use of sodium or potassium hydroxide rather than calcium hydroxide as the coagulant.
