Some of the subjects in Taurima cover those taught as part of the requirements for NCEA Level One Te Reo Rangatira. The plays have been narrated on to CDs and are 10-15 mins long. Linked to levels 5 and 6 of Te Marautenga o Aotearoa. 1. Ihu hūpē. Mīhaka, Ihipera and Taituha voice concerns to their elders about the environmental care of their whenua, Te Pae o Hukanui. 2. Kāti te riri. Tānemahuta appeals to his younger brothers to live peacefully for fear of causing distress to their mother, Papatūānuku. 3. Nō hea koe? Haunui travels to the present from the past and realises that poor diets are responsible for ending chiefly bloodlines. 4. Āta whakarongo.
