  • Descrição: Allergic diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses are among the most common problems encountered in otorhinolaryngology and respiratory medicine. However, allergy is not the only cause of non-infectious sneezing, rhinorrhoea and nasal blockage. Such symptoms may also arise from autonomic imbalance associated with relative hyper-reactivity of the parasympathetic nervous system. Thus patients with vasomotor rhinitis can be sub-divided into those with or without an allergic cause.
