Descrição: Reflecting on personal experiences of life during infancy & adolescence in the Ben M'sik quarter of Casablanca, considered are the life experience of Moroccan women within the duality of tradition & modernity. It is suggested that women's everyday life in the quarter relies on the traditional system for continuity & identity, while modernity represents an unknown, seductive world.
