Zoonotic diseases range from mild to fatal and are associated with both domestic and farm animals. Describes some of these diseases, including Q fever, hydatid disease, toxocariasis and toxoplasmosis, which receive little attention in medical school curricula and are almost completely missing in the preregistration training for nurses.
