  • Descrição: The crucial task in production of multi-component alloys is a development and study of MHD-stirring conditions which make it possible to achieve new process effects such as microinhomogeneous homogenization or MHD-resonance. One of the advanced ways to provide such stirring conditions is the supply of the non-sine periodic current of the given waveform to inductor coils. The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of a magnetohydrodynamic stirrer with non-sinusoidal power supply. The analysis of the behavior of electromagnetic forces at various power supply parameters is carried out. A comparative analysis of the obtained results with the characteristics of the MHD stirrer with a sinusoidal power supply system is carried out.
