Descrição: A study attempted to identify the principle pathway by which polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans enter zucchini and other related plant species. The results found that for zucchini and pumpkin, root uptake and subsequent translocation to the shoots and into the fruits is the main contamination pathway.
