Descrição: Polyolefin makers Borealis A/S of Lyngby, Denmark, and OPP Petroquimica SA of Sao Paulo, Brazil, have established a compounding joint venture in Brazil. Borealis acquired 80% of OPP's polypropylene compound business and assets, aiming to serve automotive and home appliance customers in South America. The new company, Borealis-OPP, will include OPP's current PP compounding capacity of 110.2 million lb annually.
