  • Descrição: Prior to 2015, our understanding of Pluto was limited only to its orbital characteristics, bulk geophysical properties (i.e., size and density), and albedo and surface composition (Moore et al., 2015). Modeling of Pluto’s interior and thermal history in the previous decades (McKinnon et al., 1997; Hussmann et al., 2006; Robuchon and Nimmo, 2011) had shown that Pluto might have experienced significant geologic activity, and various studies theorized as to how Pluto had been affected by processes such as impact cratering, sedimentary processes (including volatile migration), aeolian processes, tectonism, cryovolcanism, and viscous relaxation of topography (e.g., Kamata and Nimmo, 2014; Barr
