Descrição: The magnetization process at T=0 of the spin-1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the triangular lattice with Ising-like exchange anisotropy is studied. A comparison is made to a corresponding classical system. A plateau of magnetization has been found for an interval of the external field, on which classical spin configurations dominate. Other than on the plateau, quantum effects invalidate the classical picture. A possibility of experimental confirmation of this classical-quantum crossover is also pointed out.
