Descrição: This document is one of the guidelines (in the ASFIS Reference Series) prepared in support of the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Information System (ASFIS). These Guidelines are composed of two parts: part 1 describes the identification of the bibliographic data elements of a document and includes instructions on the input of bibliographic data using MicroCDS/ISIS, ASFISIS/ODIN Data Entry Interface: and part 2 describes various ASFISIS software utilities which are related to bibliographic data entry. Six annexes are included at the end of the document, which provide further information regarding transliteration, language codes, abbreviations, and typesetting codes for special characters. The last annex shows examples of ASFA (Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts) bibliographic descriptions on all existing worksheets.
