  • Descrição: In order to investigate the deformation behaviors of superconducting filaments, the finite element method was used to analyze the rolling process of superconducting wires with elliptical section. The feasibility and effectiveness of the finite element model were verified by experimental data. The simulation results show that the powder density, the logarithmic strain ratio (LSR) and their distribution uniformity decrease with the increase of the friction coefficient. Larger thickness reduction makes the transversal and longitudinal strain of the superconducting tape increase, meanwhile the powder density and LSR increase. Larger roller diameter is helpful to enhance the powder density and make LSR decrease, while the front/back tension has little influence on the deformation of superconducting filaments.
