  • Descrição: Over the past few years, robots have found their way to the consumer market. With the rise of ubiquitous digitization, the transformative potential of robotics is immense. Yet, it is important to educate a new generation of robotics engineers on researching and engineering mobile robots and also multi-robot systems. Often, students' great intrinsic motivation to learn about this field is quickly shattered due to its inherent multifaceted challenges. These reach from the need to program robot individuals and to concert collectives to mastering the imperfections of robotics hardware. Accordingly, we present an approach to teaching robotics harnessing the means of engagement and motivation of gamification. We present a concept that builds on the tandem of simulation and hardware trials embedded into a social competitive serious game context.
